Don’t forget to support the Quiz Night at the Richmond Club this Wednesday 8th March.

Teams are already reserving their tables for the event, and we are delighted to confirm the former Hereford, Aston Villa and Chelsea goalkeeper Tommy Hughes will be the special guest.

The Quiz is scheduled to start at 8pm, but please arrive earlier if you can. The night will include a special Q&A session with Tommy immediately after the quiz at around 10pm, and you can win a host of prizes in our 50/50 draw and in the raffle. Fans are more than welcome to support the fundraising night even if they are not competing in the quiz itself.

So why not get together and raise a team, as you will not only have a chance to win the £100 top prize, and the ‘Adam Stansfield Trophy’, but you will be helping to raise funds for HUST and its community projects and charities; United in the Community, Bowel Cancer UK, and the Adam Stansfield Foundation.

It’s the first round of the county-wide quiz at The Richmond Club, Edgar Street, Hereford on Wednesday. We welcome Hereford fans teams, but we hope to see quiz teams representing other sides within the Herefordshire Football Association, and from across the Herefordshire sporting scene. Maybe your cricket team, rugby team, or local pub quiz side could put a team together? Teams can consist of up to 4 players, and it will cost only £2 per person to enter.

Jamie Griffiths, Chris Ammonds and Rob Bullock from Hereford Football Club have assembled their quizzers, and we are hopeful Joel Edwards will also be in attendance. Other representative quiz teams include those from UITC and HUST.

The winners of each round will win £25 in vouchers, and together with the runners up at each venue will go through to the ‘Final’ of the competition which will be held later in the year.

We are very grateful to Shaun Parkin from the Adam Stansfield Foundation for their support.

Future venues for the event are expected to include Kington, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.

A raffle draw and 50/50 draw will also be held at each venue.

Should any publican wish to add their venue to the schedule of quiz heats – completely free of charge – please get in touch.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, and should you be able to donate raffle draw prizes please contact the new lotto and fundraising email address:    lotto@hufctrust.co.uk
