  1. I have lived in and around KIngs Lynn for the last 35 years and at long last I am going to see Hereford at a” home game”. I have still got my United bobble hat and will be wearing it with pride and looking forward to a Hereford win. I think that the entry price is steep but the owner is being greedy and doesn’t understand basic economics and I will be interested in how many attend. Best pub to go to is the Lord Napier which is only 200 yards from the ground and is very welcoming to supporters of both teams. It’s a good ground with stands on both sides and open terraces at each end. Man to watch is Simon Lapping who pulls the strings in midfield.

  2. I left Kings’s Lynn in 1976 as a 16 year old. All my schooling was done there and I have happy memories.
I was an infrequent watcher of the team, but it was 40 miles for League football in Norwich, Cambridge or Peterborough.
The game I remember was King’s Lynn v Hereford in FA Cup first round proper, November 1971.
There was snow on the pitch and we were hoping that the Linnets would progress and get league opposition.
What I remember was a dominant performance by the home team, with a number of good efforts on goal, but we had to settle for a 0-0 draw and a replay.
And that was the end of that as Hereford won the replay and went on to that legendary victory over Newcastle.

No-one will ever forget that result, but I always like to think, with a wry smile: We could have beaten them in the first round!

Good luck and hope to see you back in the League one day.
