Hereford have a re-scheduled match on Saturday 12 November as Shortwood are the visitors to Edgar Street, but Simon Wright suggests we should all try and make it ‘Bring a Friend Day’.

With another international break, why not try persuading the Premier League or even Championship supporter in your life to join you for the Shortwood match. We can all make a difference

Here’s a few pointers. These words below seemed to have struck a chord with some of my chums. Benefits that we almost take for granted now. I have definitely persuaded one Bored Baggie (who’s now an incessant yawner) and three others who are interested.

Warning – Wolves supporters will find some of the long words difficult.

Remember the days when football was cheap? When you could pay onto a terrace at the door… on Saturdays at 3pm of course. What else? Where you can park next to the ground. Buy an award winning traditional programme. Buy a fanzine with free staples. Listen to the club radio station without charge. Meet and greet the players and the Board members. Drink real beer in the club bars. A place where you know that defence is secondary to a free scoring attack which featured wingers. A place where people smile. A lot.

You still can find all these facilities at Hereford FC. A week on Saturday, there’s another international break. Meanwhile, on the pitch first plays third at Edgar Street. Pay on the day. Easy to get there by train. There are dozens of pubs within walking distance.. and a dozen plus restaurants too.

See you there?
