After last Thursday night’s AGM the proposed Midland Football League Premier Division line up has been ratified.

New to the league this season are:

  • Highgate United – winners of the MFL Division One last season
  • Sporting Khalsa – winners of the West Midlands (Regional) League
  • Bardon Hill – winners of the East Midlands Counties League
  • Hereford – a new era begins at Edgar Street
  • Heanor Town – transferred across from the Northern Counties East League

The teams departing our league are:

  • Basford United – last years champions step up to the Evo-Stick NPL
  • Heath Hayes – relegated to Division One of the MFL
  • Tipton Town – relegated to the West Midlands (Regional) League
  • Kirby Muxloe – transferred across to the United Counties League
  • Causeway United – folded due to financial issues

The MFL Premier Division is set to begin on Saturday, August 8th.

However, a full fixture list is not expected until the end of July.
