Hereford, under new boss Russell Slade, secured a point with a 0-0 draw against Boston United in a disappointing game of very few chances.

The Bulls lost Martin Riley due to a dislocated shoulder, whilst another injury to Jason Pope disrupted the Hereford back line who held out despite the aerial advantage the Pilgrims had in the latter stages of the game.

Hereford remain 7th in the table but will no doubt drop down the table during their two-match absence due to international call-up’s for Rowan Liburd, Raheem Hanley and Reece Styche.

Spennymoor are up and running thanks to their come-from-behind win over Chester. A last minute Glen Taylor clincher gave Jason Ainsley a 2-1 victory to enjoy against a side who have enjoyed August so far.

Altrincham were hurting after being hammered at Boston United. A 3-1 win against Farsley Celtic lifted the mood – Ashley Hemmings’ great strike was the pick of the bunch.

AFC Telford secured win number three, they edged a five-goal thriller at Bradford PA, pictured.

Gateshead are going in the right direction. Mike Williamson’s men bettered Brackley Town 2-0 with Joshua Kayode and Michael Nelson finding the net.

York City remain top but they did it the hard way at Gloucester. After going ahead they fell behind, but goals from Jordan Burrow and Alex Kempster in difficult conditions makes it a 20 point return from the first month of the new season for the Minstermen.

King’s Lynn are just behind them thanks to a 2-0 victory over Darlington.

Alfreton continue to surprise – they won at Kidderminster as Dom Smith’s first-half headed claimed the points from Aggborough.

Blyth Spartans are the only club without a win to their name. Lee Clark’s team couldn’t put that right on Saturday as they lost 2-0 to Leamington. Josh Marsh’s double kept the Brakes in the play-off places.

Southport and Kettering played out 1-1 draw, while Guiseley’s great start continues as they edged out Curzon Ashton 1-0.
