Here are the post match thoughts of the Bulls’ head coach Marc Richards, plus those of the Hereford skipper Josh Gowling and Player-of-the-Year Tom Owen-Evans after Boston beat Hereford 2-0 at Edgar Street.
Hereford had a chance to lift themselves into 15th place in the division, but limped to a disappointing home defeat and will have to be content with a 17th position final finish in the Vanarama National League North campaign.
A season that saw the Bulls just one point off the bottom of the table at one stage in November, ended in relative safety after a series of hard-working and resilient displays on the road eventually saw the side become competitive and difficult to beat.
But the lack of a cutting edge in the final third has proved to be a problem for the Bulls all season and a dramatic transformation in displays at home will be needed early next season if home attendances are to hold over the 2,000 mark.
A squad capable of producing entertaining and enterprising football at Edgar Street is an absolute priority if the clubs previous momentum is to continue.
