Hereford went down to their second defeat of their season at high-flying Banbury by a three goals to one margin on Saturday and slipped to ninth place in the Vanarama National League North table.

The Bulls boss Josh Gowling questioned some of the positional play of the Hereford defence as the Bulls had to endeavour to fight back from being two goals behind after just 17 minutes.

A spirited home team demonstrated plenty of effervescence, especially in the final third, and their desire to win the midfield battles proved decisive.

The Hereford manager expects to see a positive response from his Hereford squad as they take on near neighbours Gloucester City at Edgar Street on Bank Holiday Monday.
