Ahead of the upcoming 2018/19 season we bring you the start of a new Talking Bull series:

The supporter near me said…

Following player form was more challenging than usual at Pegasus, due to the absence of numbers on the players shirts. All around the ground, supporters were tuning into the Radio Hereford FC commentary to work out who was where and doing what. Inevitably, much attention focussed on Marko Radovanovic in goal who was both new and easily identified. Rarely in the worlds of job interviews do people had so little opportunity to prove themselves. He faced only one shot in 90 minutes which he couldn’t reach. He collected a loose ball a few times. Throw outs to full backs do not provide many eye-catching opportunities.

Hence the line from behind “Can we put him in goal for Peggy in the second half?”

And also “our new keepers fantastic at distribution.”

My favourite phrase of the game was “He’s asking Murphy to get him a deckchair.”
