The former Hereford legend Rob Purdie is looking forward to a “really competitive” testimonial match between a Hereford FC and Hereford United side on Sunday, 12th May.

Tickets are already selling well, but Purdie wants to raise as much money as possible for charities including the Adam Stansfield Foundation, and is hoping for at least a four-figure attendance.

The match carries a 1:30pm kick-off time to both enable the players to travel to Edgar Street from right across the country, and to ensure the pre-match hospitality is a success.

The match will pause in the 9th minute to allow players and fans alike to remember former-striker Adam Stansfield with a minute applause.

There will also be chances for Bulls fans to be part of this unique celebration of Rob Purdie’s fantastic Edgar Street career, with a ‘Squad Player Raffle giving some lucky fans the chance to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their Hereford heroes.

SQUAD PLAYER RAFFLE a chance for 6 fans to take to the turf in the Hereford kit and play with their heroes.

REMEMBERING ADAM the game will stop on the 9th minute for a minutes round of applause from everyone in memory of Adam Stansfield.

CROSSBAR CHALLENGE Hereford FC players will take on Hereford United players in a half-time crossbar challenge. Which of your favourite players will come out on top?

A TESTIMONIAL RAFFLE Proceeds from the raffle will be split between two great causes that are close to Robs’ heart; The Adam Stansfield Foundation and the Junior Bulls.
