The Hereford head coach Marc Richards remained in positive spirits despite a 1-0 reverse at Cinderford in the Bulls’ second pre-season friendly of the summer.

The Bulls were undone thanks to a defensive mix-up. Hesitation by a triallist enabled Ethan Moore to pounce on the ball just outside the box before driving home a shot into the net for the only goal of the game for Cinderford in the 65th minute.

Hereford carved out plenty of opportunities to have won the match, with Rowan Liburd, Reece Styche and Tommy O’Sullivan all going close.

Richards is now looking forward to a 3-day “boot-camp” in Devon which will see Hereford take on both Yeovil Town and Bideford in two friendly matches in three days. The Glovers on Friday night and the Robins on Sunday afternoon. However, the head coach claims it is unlikely Hereford will announce any new signings before the weekend.
