The much anticipated Vanarama National League North clash between the early season pacesetters York City and Hereford at Edgar Street that was due to be played on Saturday, 9th November has been called off.

This is because the Minstermen have reached the 1st Round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 victory over Stockport County at Bootham Crescent this afternoon.

Officials at both clubs will now need to agree on a revised date for the league encounter between the clubs who are both bidding to remain in the promotion bracket come the end of the season.

The original Saturday afternoon kick-off was expected to attract an above average crowd at Edgar Street.
