Ahead of the Cardiff City friendly match tomorrow afternoon at Edgar Street, we continue with our new Talking Bull website series:

The supporter near me said…

The Bulls v Newport game included a couple of irritants unique to friendlies.  Much to the horror of the Radio Hereford FC broadcast team, County turned up wearing shirts without numbers and their ranks included people known only as triallists.  The B Block intelligentsia reacted accordingly.

“If I was the ref” opined one regular.  “I’d take a black marker pen onto the pitch and put a black mark on the forehead of any Newport player who committed a foul.  Two black marks should mean a booking…”

And later in the game, when a triallist was passing to another triallist. a certain  B Block member burst into song

“He’s fat, he’s round, he’s yours for a pound… triallist…”

I guess you just had to be there.
