Dear Talking Bull,

I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in producing the Giant-Killers 50th Anniversary edition of TB.

I did not contribute – at the time of the victory over Newcastle I was a few weeks shy of my 9th birthday, with zero interest in football, and in any case my family did not relocate to the Shire from my native Kent until November of that year. So I felt that I really had nothing of interest to say.

So, when I was unable to obtain a printed copy at the Boston game on Feb 5th, I managed to convince myself that I wasn’t too bothered at missing out. Needless to say, though, as soon as I discovered that more copies were to be printed for mail order sale, I ordered one immediately!

This was such a great investment – although I wasn’t there at the time, the collage of various supporters’ tales brought it all vividly to life. I thought the format was excellent in the way it juxtaposed quotes from various contributors rather than printing each person’s recollections individually – I hope no-one felt short changed by this as, to me at least, it brought home the rich variety of different people’s memories.

A genuinely memorable issue- well done!
