The Hereford head coach Marc Richards accepted his side had been “beaten by the better team” at Edgar Street last night.

Brackley maintained their impressive push towards the play-off positions in the Vanarama National League North with a 2-0 victory over Hereford. Indeed, this was the Saints third win over the Bulls all season having already beaten Hereford at St James’ Park in the League and having knocked their opponents out of the FS Trophy during this campaign.

Richards’ side showed much more ambition and attacking play than was evident in Saturday’s narrow 1-0 win over Guiseley, but have much work to do if they are to eventually match the efficiency of teams like Brackley.

Next up ae tough looking matches against promotion contenders Spennymoor Town and Stockport County.
